Does Fenugreek increase Estrogen in males?

Fenugreek does not increase estrogen levels in males. There is no scientific evidence that supports this claim. Although, some men may undergo side effects such as breast tenderness and enlargement, low testosterone levels, water retention, and increased body fat when taking this herb.

Regardless, some believe this herb may have estrogen-like effects due to its high concentration of phytoestrogens. These plant-based compounds are thought to modulate the effects of estrogen by activating similar receptors in the body. A recent study showed that taking fenugreek supplementation may increase breast milk production, which is a known effect of elevated estrogen levels in the body alongside breast enlargement.

However, this evidence is limited at best, reinforcing the fact that fenugreek does not boost estrogen levels in men.

In how many days does Fenugreek increase breast size?

Fenugreek can increase breast size in as little as 14 days, if used in essential oil form, massaged daily for 15 minutes, and taken in supplement form.

It should also be noted that clinically no published data supports this claim. Research has only shown that the phytoestrogen in fenugreek enhances estrogen levels, which promotes breast gland enlargement and milk production. Based on this conclusion, fenugreek is a hormonally active herb that can help increase breast size.

In the video below, McGill University Professor of Chemistry Dr. Joe Schwarcz talks about the pros and cons of this herbal remedy.

What are the side effects of using Fenugreek for breast enlargement?

The side effects of using fenugreek for breast enlargement include:

  • Bloating
  • Coughing
  • Diarrhea
  • Dizziness
  • Facial swelling
  • Headaches
  • lower blood sugar
  • Nasal congestion
  • Stomach upset
  • Wheezing

One of the more significant risks of using fenugreek for breast enlargement is a severe allergic reaction in individuals who have a documented history of hypersensitivity. If you develop any signs of rashes, hives, or itching, stop taking the fenugreek immediately.

Symptoms of a moderate or severe allergic reaction include:

  • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • Tightness in the chest
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea

Using fenugreek for breast enlargement is generally considered safe for most people, particularly when taken orally. However, taking larger doses of fenugreek for accelerated breast growth for up to 6 months will likely cause side effects.

How does breast enlargement with Fenugreek work?

Breast enlargement with fenugreek works because it contains phytoestrogens. Phytoestrogens are compounds with estrogenic activity that promote increased uterine weight, epithelial cell proliferation, and vaginal deepening. Phytoestrogens produce these effects via stimulating estrogen receptors within target tissues.

Fenugreek safely and inherently promotes connective tissue growth and duct proliferation resulting in bigger, fuller, and firmer breasts. Fenugreek is often used in herbal teas and supplements that help balance women’s hormones and help in breast enlargement.

An easy home remedy for breast enlargement is incorporating Fenugreek into your regular diet. A common suggestion is consuming up to 3g of Fenugreek daily. It may also help uplift sagged breasts.

Can Maca and Fenugreek be used for breast growth and health?

A combination of Maca and Fenugreek can be used for breast growth and overall health. Fenugreek contains compounds like phytoestrogens that have an estrogenic activity which stimulates estrogen receptors promoting tissue growth resulting in breast enlargement.

Maca root has excellent nutrient values that reinforce female bone health, hormone balance, and libido. It stimulates estrogen receptors and promotes the retention of good-quality estrogen hormones for improved breast health.

However, there is no clinical evidence that using these herbs in combination may cause these effects. It is advised to consult a medical professional before adding a combination of herbal supplements to your diet.

Can a combination of Saw Palmetto and Fenugreek be used for breast enlargement?

Research on supplements has shown that a combination of saw palmetto and fenugreek is often found in breast-enlarging herbal supplements along with various other ingredients such as:

  • Grains
  • Hops,
  • Dong quai
  • Chaste-tree berry
  • Wild yam
  • Kava
  • Fennel
  • Black cohosh

Most of these herbs are hormonally active; for example, hops include 8-prenylnaringenin, a phytoestrogen that is more powerful than other dietary phytoestrogens. Many breast-enlarging dietary supplements contain substrates for Fusarium, a fungus that creates zearalenone, a potent estrogen linked with breast enlargement in humans.

However, breast-enlarging supplements should be discouraged because of the lack of evidence of efficacy and long-term safety concerns.

How can Fenugreek help a MTF transition?

A male-to-female (MTF) transitioning person may find it helpful to introduce fenugreek into their diet as it can help them transition by increasing estrogen levels in the body while simultaneously decreasing testosterone levels.

General studies have concluded a link between phytoestrogens commonly found in fenugreek and raised estrogen levels in the body.

However, no scientific research has investigated the effects of estrogen-rich foods’ on individuals on hormone therapy who are undergoing male-to-female transition. Research on estrogen-rich foods primarily focuses on females using them to reduce menopausal symptoms and other health effects. So little can be said about the safety of fenugreek for an MTF person.

Does Fenugreek affect a birth control implant?

There is no concrete evidence that fenugreek affects birth control implants such as Nexplanon. People have reported that using fenugreek supplements helps with the dryness caused by the birth control implant at the vulva.

However, fenugreek contains phytoestrogens that may affect a woman’s hormone levels, and theoretically, this can impact the progestin in the birth control implant. But, more research is needed to determine the effects of phytoestrogens on birth control.

Can you use Fenugreek and Fennel for breast growth?

Fenugreek and fennel seeds can be used together for breast growth. Fenugreek can be taken orally in the form of a herbal supplement. It will promote breast tissue growth as it contains phytoestrogens which act like estrogens and stimulate the estrogen receptors in the body.

While fennel seeds can be mixed in olive oil and massaged over the breasts physically, this increases blood flow to the breasts, promoting growth. Alternatively, fennel seeds can also be added to your everyday diet. It contains important nutrients and fat essential for breast tissue development.

However, there is no clinical evidence that using these herbs in combination may cause these effects. It is advised to consult a medical professional before adding a combination of herbal supplements to your diet.

Can Fenugreek help in Feminization?

Fenugreek may help in feminization as it contains phytoestrogens. Phytoestrogens are compounds that have estrogenic activity in the body.

In simpler words, phytoestrogens stimulate estrogen receptors in the body. Moreover, phytoestrogens may also stop the testes from producing testosterone, the primary male sex hormone responsible for male characteristics such as beard growth and deepening of the voice.

Estrogen is the primary female sex hormone, and elevated levels of estrogen due to phytoestrogen may help in feminization by thinning out facial hair and enlarging the breasts.
