Can men take women’s probiotics?

Men can take women’s probiotics without experiencing any adverse effects. To this day, there hasn’t been a lot of research put into the effects of women’s probiotics on men and vice versa.

A study published in the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology in 2015, recommended further investigations into this area since women were more prone to developing and clearing symptoms differently than men.

Similarly, hormonal differences between men and women can significantly affect the response to treatment for probiotics. Thus, even though there were no dangers associated with men taking women’s probiotics, it’s better to stick with a gender-specific probiotic.

Can Probiotics be used for treating a UTI in men?

Probiotics can be used for treating a UTI in Men because they maintain a good environment for natural good bacteria and to make it hard for bad bacteria to cause infections.

As for treating UTIs using probiotics, there hasn’t been enough evidence to support this claim yet. In fact, according to a review study published in the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews in 2015, there were no noticeable effects of probiotics in treating urinary tract infections (UTIs) in adults and children.

Are Probiotics helpful to treat a Yeast Infection in Men?

Probiotics are helpful to treat a yeast infection in men because they promote good bacteria and yeast growth that in turn combats and prevents several types of infections such as Candida.

Probiotics in that sense can be taken orally in the form of natural products like yogurt, through supplements, or applied topically on the affected area. For better results, it’s recommended to purchase products with live bacteria.
